SA Hip Hop star Cassper Nyovest has shared a reaction to Nigeria’s AFCON defeat at the finals on Sunday.
We must confess that the social media banter between Nigerians and South Africans has been great. The two countries have joked about the Grammy Awards, AFCON, and, of course, Amapiano.
Nigerians roasted South Africans on Twitter after the Super Eagles defeated Bafana Bafana last week. That is why South Africans are already giving them back since they lost the finals to Côte d’Ivoire on Sunday night.
Taking to social media, SA Hip Hop star Cassper Nyovest reacted to Nigeria’s loss and thanked the winning country, Ivory Coast, for “restoring world peace.” According to him, there would have been so much chaos from Nigerians if they hadn’t won. He wrote,
“Côte d’Ivoire have restored world peace!!! They deserve the gold medal for winning CAF and an extra medal of Honour!!!”
He later took a jab at Nigeria, asking if SA can have Amapiano back since they have already been defeated.
“Nigeria, does that mean we can have our Amapiano back? Cause I mean, technically, you didn’t win the tournament, so return to creators, please?” He wrote.
Fans have since reacted hilariously to the tweet.
