Family Tree boss Cassper Nyovest has distanced himself from the ongoing drama between his archrival AKA and Cake Media over the ownership of The Braai Show, which is currently in its second season.
AKA had hosted the show in its first season. Cassper Nyovest was picked as the host for the second season. AKA, who claims to own a 50 per cent stake in the show, insisted he was not informed about Cassper Nyovest hosting the show. He has issued a notice of demand to SABC-1 not to air the show.
A fan, who thought Cassper was the loser in the whole drama, wrote to him on Twitter, letting him know he would be Cassper’s lawyer in the event of any legal battle.
Reply to the fan, and the “Amademoni” hitmaker clarified that he does not need a lawyer in that he was paid for a service, and he has already delivered the service. So whether the second season of TheBraai Show should air or not, he has been paid and has nothing to lose. He also clarified that the show has already been shot.
By the way, producers of the show, Cake Media, have dismissed AKA’s claims he owns 50% of the show.
