Somethings just make you feel bad when you hear them. The recent news of the closure of Ticketpro Dome has hit every fan of Live music events hard. Ticketpro Dome has benefited the music industry for over two decades now.
Sadly, it wont be functioning any longer. The news was shared by RX Venue Management company on Twitter. It revealed that the large multipurpose indoor arena has been sold by the owners of Sasol Pension Fund. Apparently the buyers do not operate in the event space. The recent sale was influenced by the pandemic and the ban on social gatherings.
“It is with a heavy heart that RX Venue Management today announces that after 20 years of being the management company of South Africa’s largest multipurpose indoor arena, The Ticketpro Dome has now been sold by the owners, Sasol Pension Fund.”
Several Mzansi music acts including Cassper Nyovest, who once sold out the venue, Zakes Bantwini, DJ PH and more have reacted to the news on social media.
