Cassper Nyovest shouts out Motswefing FM for playing 100% local music throughout the month of September.
This headline will definitely bring so much joy to the hearts of Mzansi artists. It has always been something artists have constantly complained about. Mzansi artists have stated that their music does not get as much airplay as it should on the radio. This means that there has been a lack of support for local artists as much as is expected.
However, a recent announcement by Mahikeng Community radio, Motsweding FM should fix this even if it is for one month. Cassper Nyovest recently took to Twitter to applaud the radio station on their decision to play 100% local music throughout the month of September. He urged his followers to “clap hands for them” saying that artists really need it.
This also looks good for Cass whose upcoming album “Any Minute Now” is slated for release on Friday, September 11th. The “Good For That” hit maker has always complained about not getting enough radio airplay despite trying his best and selling records. This could mean that his new music will be well rotated on radio this month. Shout out to Motsweding. Hopefully, other stations follow suit.
