It’s game again for South Africa’s music universe, as key musicians from different genres link up for what has been dubbed Celebrity Soccer Game.
There are several genres in South Africa, but only four of them will compete during the Celebrity Soccer Game: maskanda, hip hop, amapiano, and gqom.
The Gqom Team has the likes of Malume, Andile Mpisane, Que, Goldmax, Mampintsha, DJ Naves, and DJ Cleo on the lineup.
The maskandi team has the likes of Ntencane, Njoko, Jaiva, Ngelo, and others lined up to tackle opponents on the pitch.
Amaoiano has Kabza De Small, Mfunda Da DJ, Dinho Caf, SMS Mnono, Enosoul, Mas Musiq and others to show that they too mean business.
The hip-hop team is most likely the most interesting. Indeed, fans were looking for something, but they didn’t get it – as the list shows, AKA is part of the team. But Cassper isn’t. having the two of them on the same thing is something fans have been looking forward to.
In fact, at some point, El-Tido had wanted to organize a football match with the two hip-hop rivals as part of the team. But it never happened.
The march will take place on July 24, with tickets going for R150 (regular) and R300 (VIP).
