AKA is trending in South Africa right now, and it’s not for the best of reasons. Videos are currently circulating online indicating the “Fela in Versace” rapper might have abused late fiancée Nelli Tembe prior to her passing.
Nelli Tembe died on 11 April after jumping from the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town. The day before, the pair had had a good time out, with Nelli Tembe rocking the dance floor with AKA and some close friends.
At the time of her death, speculations were rife she fell. But in a recent statement, AKA had insinuated she committed suicide.
A video had popped online on Sunday night in which Anele could be heard crying, “You don’t know what he’s been doing to me.” The video went viral immediately, with some social media users who why she remained in the relationship despite the alleged abusive.
Another video had popped online, reportedly from AKA’s camp, showing a room in chaos and Nelli Tembe stooped somewhere and crying. In the video, AKA had spoken alleged that Nelli Tembe was under influence and attacked him first but that he did not fight back.
