Chris Pratt Contrite After Bashing Israel Adesanya

It isn’t all the time that a hypocrite recognises his hypocrisy and actually apologises for it. But that happened recently after Chris Pratt admitted he was wrong in criticising UFC fighter Israel Adesanya.

It all started after Pratt, in an interview appearance with ESPN following Adesanya’s demolition of Jared Cannonier on Saturday (2 July), noted that the sportsman didn’t live up to expectations despite his dramatic appearance for the fight and eventual win.

He had described Adesanya as “all talk” and a bloke who’d gone into the octagon to “do a little bit of pitter-patter.” Naturally, those words didn’t sit well with Adesanya, and he fired back at the actor, noting in a tweet that he’s the man in the ring – you know, the critics are everywhere, but there’s only one man who knows, and he’s the one that actually faces an opponent.

Contrite about his earlier position, Pratt readily agreed that he was wrong and Adesanya was right. However, he also confessed that it displeases him when people criticise his work, especially those who have not risked anything themselves. You can check out the conversation below.

His apology appeared to have resolved the issue, as Adesanya hasn’t said anything since.
