Citi Lyts To Honour ProKid With New Song Titled “Kaslam” This Friday

It appears South African disc jockey and producer Citi Lyts is about to light the city with a new song featuring his late elder brother PRO – also called ProKid.

The song is titled Kaslam and features PRO, Blayze and Bless. Citi Lyts shared the cover art of the song on his Instagram page, as well as included a video of what appears to be a clip of the imminent song. The scene is breezy and will please any speed devil out there.

The clip, according to him was in celebration of PRO’s birthday (22 June).

PRO is said to have died from gastrointestinal bleeding in 2018. His death shocked the South African music industry, particularly the hip hop world, where he had a massive influence on younger rappers, including the now celebrated Gigi Lamayne and Proverb.

Well, he may have died years back, but the devotion to his memory, by both fans and fellows artistes, is pretty strong. Year after year, fans and fellow musos memorialize the Motswako rapper who had thrilled the world to many songs until his death.

By the way, Proverb recently released “The Kasi Rap Bible” in honour of PRO.

The release date for Kaslam , according to Citi Lyts, is Friday 26 June. Stay tuned.
