Coca-Cola Resurrects Music Platform “Coke Studio” In South Africa

A wave of excitement is currently sweeping across South Africa’s horizon following the relaunching of Coke Studio in the Rainbow Nation.

The platform would be a hub of creative fermentation in the country, with some key voices pairing up and creating new and unique music for the space. The musicians would be paired to make music to delight the music buffs out there.

Already, in the spirit of Coke Studio, a couple of jams have been released, featuring artists from disparate backgrounds and experiences.

A spin to the whole experience is the South African version, which has some select musicians on the lineup to treat fans to wonderful music. Among those unveiled for Coke Studio South Africa are the “Uzobuya” singer, DJ Zinhle, Lloyiso, Ch’ccoAlot, MajorSteez, Reece Madlisa and Zuma.

From the list of artists, it’s clear a mixed bag must be the aim. For one, the list covers rap, RnB, amapiano, and soul. It’s safe to expect mash-ups from the collective, then.
