Comedian Gilbert Gottfried Dead at 67

Yesterday, April 12, was a sad one for the comedian Gilbert Gottfried’s family, as he passed away after a long illness. He was 67.

His death resulted from ventricular tachycardia, a heart rhythm condition which can prevent the heart from pumping enough blood into the body, leading to shortness of breath and sometimes cardiac arrest.

The late comedian’s family announced his death using his verified Twitter account. The family noted it is “heartbroken” over the iconic comedian’s passing while also illuminating the impact he made while he traversed the world of comedy.

Although his passing is a sad one for the family, it insisted that people should keep on laughing to honour the late comedian. Making people laugh was, after all, Gilbert’s business.

The report of his death has led to an outpouring of grief from those who had in one way or the other been impacted by the late comedian’s career.

On Twitter, for instance, some of his fans have been sharing some of what they call his best comedy appearances. Others were just content to share his pictures and recall how great a comedian he was. He’ll be sorely missed for his contributions to comedy. You can check out some of the comments below.
