Concerns Grow Over Ratings As Thuso Mbedu’s “The Woman King” Comes To Netflix SA

The Woman King, a flick which featured the South African actress Thuso Mbedu, is coming to Netflix. In South Africa, the reaction to this news is a mixed one, with some tweeps wondering about the ratings.

Does this class of fans really have a reason to worry?  The concern among most is that The Woman King is actually not a new movie. People have already watched it and the interest in the flick may have wanted over time.

In a recent tweet, the entertainment commentator Phil nMphela had informed his audience about the coming to Netflix South Africa of The Woman King, which had Thuso Mbedu featured as Nawi, a war lady trained by Viola Davis (General Lanisca).

The movie will officially premiere on Netflix South Africa on Tuesday, June 6 – that is less than a week from now. Well, it is one thing to worry about the ratings and it is a different ball game to see the ratings appear below expectations.
