The genre has seen the rise of some of the most iconic rappers of all time and Mzansi has celebrated their legacies. Everyone appreciates the genre for the talented artists involved and the music they have each blessed fans with.
Veteran Mzansi actress Connie Chiume recently participated in the nationwide celebration of 30 years of democracy. According to a report by SAHipHopMag, Apple Music put together a collaborative effort with the actress and other famous figures, and established a playlist curated by these famous figures highlighting some of their top picks of memorable tunes.
Connie’s list showed that she does not discriminate between artists, and also isn’t moved by feuds like some of Hip Hop’s biggest fans are. The list includes Cassper Nyovest’s massive hit song, “Doc Shebeleza,” the late AKA’s “Fela In Versace,” Mandoza’s “Nkalakatha,” and “Madibuseng” by Trompies.
