Actress and businesswoman Connie Ferguson has wished her last born daughter Alicia “Ali” Ferguson a happy birthday.
It’s been a rain of congratulations for Alicia, who recently turned 20. Leading that rain is no other than her mother, Connie.
In a post on her verified Instagram page, the mother of two had described Ali as wise beyond her years and innately gifted.
She noted she was grateful for the gift of he daughter and prayed to God to grant Ali the strength as she celebrates her first-ever birthday without her father, Shona.
Fondly called Uncle Sho, Shona Ferguson had perished last year from coronavirus complications. His death sent shockwaves across South Africa’s entertainment universe.
It was a dreadful blow to the industry, mainly because the actor and director had already mapped out plans to set up a film school in South Africa in collaboration with Connie.
Anyway, his passing has further cemented the bond Connie has with her daughters. The other daughter is Lesedi, and Connie had her from a previous marriage with another actor.
At 20, life appears to be just starting for Ali, and one can only guess there is so much beauty and growth ahead.
