Black Coffee is facing a wave of condemnation after what appears to be a clip of him performing at a packed venue surfaced online.

In the clip of Black Coffee’s gig at Silo Hotel, neither the celebrated DJ and producer nor those in attendance were wearing masks.

A Twitter user who goes by the handle @2frost2furious shared clips of the performance, wondering aloud if Cape Town, the site of Silo Hotel and venue of the gig, was looking to have a third wave of the coronavirus pandemic. You can check out his post below.

South Africa recently experienced a second wave of the coronavirus pandemic amid a new strain of the virus which has placed the world on alert, with some countries banning flights from South Africa in the interim.

One irritated social media user denounced Black Coffee’s show and the people who attended with no care whatsoever to maintain COVID-19 protocols. The user described attendees as dumb, stating they would spread viruses to their friends and families for just two hours of fun.
