Costa Titch On How Riky Rick Saved His Career

Seen a man grateful to have received help? He would shout it from the rooftops. Costa Titch may be called that man, having just detailed how fellow rapper Riky Rick saved his life – you might say his career.

Costa Titch is one of the newbies in the music industry in South Africa. But the rapper and dancer has achieved so much in so short a time that some people even feel threatened by his success. Last year he was accused of cultural appropriation because he uses local lingo in his songs to great success.

At the time, many notable figures had defended him, from Stogie T to Cassper Nyovest, who he serves as a dancer..

Before then, of course, fellow rapper Riky Rick has made a remarkable impact in Costa Titch’s life. The “Made In Africa” star revealed this much in a recent sit-down with AKA on the set of The Braai Show.

According to him, he didn’t know what would have become of him if “Nkalakatha,” a song on which he had collaborated with then Cotton Fest pioneer, had not been a success.

Anyway, the song blew up, remarkably changing Costa Titch’s story and pushing him up among the emerging forces in Mzansi’s rap aristocracy.
