Cyril Ramaphosa Congratulates Tyla With A Video call

President Cyril Ramaphosa congratulated singer Tyla on her Grammy win with a video call.

Tyla is the name on everyone’s lips. The star has been killing it since last year. We saw her Water Dance Challenge blow up on TikTok and lead to the dominance of the song all over the globe. Tyla performed on the biggest music stages in the world and appeared on big TV shows.

It must all feel like a dream to her. The “Been Thinking” star made history recently after winning her first award, a Grammy Award, at the 66th Annual ceremony on Sunday. She beat Davido, Musa Keys, Ayra Starr, Asake, and more to win the first-ever “Best African Music Performance” category.

Mzansi dominated social media with congratulatory messages for the star. President Cyril Ramaphosa was also spotted in a video call with the star. He said to her,

“You are excellent. We are so proud. You make me and all of us so proud. It’s phenomenal. You have lifted all of us. You have put South Africa on the map. We are on the map once again.”

Ramaphosa was also spotted in a video doing the Water Dance Challenge, but Netizens were not so impressed by it.
