SA Hip Hop star, Da L.E.S reveals he has to protect his energy while speaking on his relationship with friend and collaborator, AKA.
Over the years, Mzansi has been drawn to the relationship between SA Hip Hop stars, AKA and Da L.E.S. Their friendship has birthed a number of collabs which have pushed their careers to major heights. They have also grown in the music industry together.
However, it seems the two are not close as they used to be. In a recent interview on BET’s Behind The Story, the North god spoke about it to host, Nomalanga Shozi. He revealed that Supa Mega was one of the few people who outright told him his music slaps.
When asked where they are now, he revealed that he is currently prioritizing protecting his energy. According to him, he doesn’t understand what energy AKA has been giving off. He said,
“Kiernan was definitely the guy who was like yoh brother I don’t know if anyone has ever told you but like your music slaps.”
“People who know me, I’m a non-confrontational guy you know what I’m saying if I don’t really get with your energy anymore I have to protect my energy first so that’s where the relationship is right now, its putting my energy first, self-preservation first and I just keep it moving, all he said, she said, I’m not with all of that,”
