Amapiano star De Mthuda’s booking fee and hospitality rider have allegedly been revealed online.
De Mthuda is undoubtedly one of the biggest Piano hitmakers on the scene. The famous DJ has registered hits on the airwaves and also holds down gigs where he entertains fans. According to a recent document making rounds on the internet, it costs a whopping sum to book the “Emlanjeni” star for one honour.
According to the alleged booking info, you must pay R40k to book him. Also, Mthuda’s alleged hospitality rider includes the following:
- 2X Hennessey VSOP1
- X Jägermeister
- 4x Red Bull
- 4x Tonic water
- 3X Juice
- 3X Water
- Food platter for four
- Hubbly
Zimoja reported that months ago, during a South African Creative Conference, event promoters complained about the exorbitant and alcohol-drenched hospitality riders artists present when getting booked.
“We have the Amapiano artists that hardly pitch for events. They complain about flights, they are unprofessional and demand expensive alcohol that costs more than the booking,” said Botswana promoter, Leko Kenosi.
Mzansi has also reacted to the document. @Scallywag_m wrote, “I remember at some point we booked DJ Clock for R9000 per hour at his peak. I don’t know why these piano dudes are charging so much money,” @thabo_dipale also wrote, “These guys are getting paid so much per hour, more than someone with the hard-earned Degree 🤞,”
