Demi Lovato References Age Gap With Ex-Boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama In New Song “29”

Did Demi Lovato reference the age gap between her and then ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama in her song “29”? The song is currently trending on Tik Tok.

The duo had reportedly met when Wilmer was 27 and Demi was 17. The “29” tune appeared to reference the disparity in their ages, as seen in the lyrics, which you can check out below.

“Far from innocent/what the fuck’s consent?/Numbers told you not to/but that didn’t stop you. Finally 29/Funny, just like you were you at the time/Thought it was a teenage dream/just a fantasy/But was it yours or was it mine?”

Demi Lovato indicated she was actually the one who made the first move. She was chuffed with his lavish good looks and complimented him about him. But he was having none of the attention. So instead, he let her know she was just 17.

They remained associates until she turned 18 a year later. That was when they thought they should give the relationship thing a shot. So they did, of course. The rest, they said, is history.

By the way, the “29” song will be a part of the American singer’s imminent “Holy Fvck” album. The songstress had announced the body of work would drop later this month.
