Most people get into relationships anticipating the best outcomes – you know, a forever of bliss and togetherness. Sometimes, though, it doesn’t go the way they visualise, as evident in the relationship between Denise Zimba and her German husband Jakob Schichtig.
The couple has now reportedly broken up and are locked in a battle over custody of their daughters. Allegedly, they broke up last year following a trip to Cape Town.
ZImba had allegedly told Jakob Schichtig that she wouldn’t be returning with him to Germany, forcing him to make the trip to Germany alone. Back in the country, he gean a legal battle against Denise, demanding that she return the children to Germany because she had unlawfully removed them from the home they were used to.
At this point, it is unclear how things will unravel. However, Denise appeared to have moved on and is currently focused on her daughters, She recently shared a picture with them, hinting in the caption that she is now a single parent. See the post below.
She isn’t the first South African to be locked in such a battle with a foreign spouse and it is doubtful she would be the last.
