Did Columbia Records Beat Ambitiouz Entertainment to Elaine’s Signature?

Controversial record label Ambitiouz Entertainment has revealed that it wanted to sign RnB singer Elaine but it didn’t work out. Columbia Records beat them to it.

The record label made this known in a tweet. Not surprisingly, Twitter denizens started dragging the record label over the tweet. Some tweeps stated Elaine’s life would have been hell if she had signed to the record label. Others simply laughed at the idea the label wanted to sign the “Elements” singer.

Whatever the reason for sharing that it wanted to sign Elaine, Ambitiouz Entertainment has certainly got Twitter  talking, indirectly maintaining it social relevance index, although the label has not been particularly active releasing new numbers. In fact, Ambitiouz even joked that Messi, who is planning to leave Barca, will be the label’s new producer.

Ambitiouz Entertainment was home to some of South Africa’s finest musicians, including Emtee, Sjava, Amanda Black and Saudi. But the record label has had pretty bad publicity for years, as most of the artistes it signed left after a big fight with the label.

Well, what if they had signed Elaine? Would her experience have been different? What do you think? You are welcome to join the conversation by dropping your thoughts in the comment section below.
