Did radio DJ and producer DJ Speedsta indirectly toss a shade the way of some of Mzansi celebs who bought cars and houses amid the pandemic? Well, some fans think so.
It’s been a series of movements from one lockdown level to another in South Africa following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. South Africa recently moved to level 3 of lockdown following a presidential announcement.
Amid the pandemic, the Government of South Africa had announced a relief fund for entertainers and those in other sectors. And some artistes have been loud in their demand for the funds, with some saying it is impossible accessing it.
Anyway, DJ Speedsta has made it clear he doesn’t want to see any entertainer talking about relief funds because when the lockdown was relaxed, entertainers got gigs and got paid but elected to buy houses and cars instead or saving for the future.
He is unimpressed by the entertainers who elected to buy houses and cars instead of saving for the future. He made them realize that nothing is assured. His post has elicited mixed reactions online.
