South African disc jockey and producer DJ Lag is the cover bod for the September issue of renowned DJ Mag, and he’s so excited about the feature.
The songster identifies himself as a gqom producer, but he’s worked with many local and international figures and in multiple genres, too. He makes his debut on the current cover, which is available online.
In the interview with the editors of the magazine, the songster had detailed his musical journey, from his days in school to the point he became impatient to leave school so that he can focus on music, to finally quitting school for music.
He talks about his dream, the collaborations he has made as well as the songs he has produced and the friends he has made. A mixed bag you have here. In the interview, you get to see the celebrated DJ and producer in multiple lights, each illuminating on its own. It’s DJ Lag like you probably never knew him.
By the way, he isn’t the first South African to snap the cover. Black Coffe had been there before him.
