One disease that has been plaguing the world is not the absence of awards but the proliferation of them. There are so many awards out there, some of them less than credible.
So when a mysterious Amapiano Music Awards popped online, many raised eyebrows, including one of the Scorpion Kings, DJ Maphorisa.
In a recent tweet, Lawd Pori had wondered out loud who was behind the award. Some of his fans were just as curious, while others thought he was asking because he had not come up with the idea himself.
There is a nominees list for the awards already, and some amapiano fans are upset with it. On Twitter, one amapiano nut had wondered why the likes of Daliwonga, DJ Jaivane, Sha Sha, Tyler ICU and Samthing Soweto were missing on the list.
