South African disc jockey and producer DJ Maphorisa has seemingly fired shots at his estranged lover Thuli Phongolo following the withdrawal of the assault charges against him.
The former lovers were locked in a drama of sorts in May this year when she claimed that he assaulted her. She even opened a case with the police and the DJ was briefly detained and denied bail. In all of that, he maintained his innocence.
Along the line, Thuli Phongolo had withdrawn the assault case against him, but the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) felt there was sufficient ground to continue the case, so it pushed to continue the process against DJ Maphorisa.
Allegedly, the NPA had given DJ Maphorisa conditions for it to withdraw the case. But he was adamant he would not accept any condition but would see to the conclusion of the case – whatever it takes.
Along the line, the NPA itself had withdrawn the case against him – a symbolic move that wasn’t lost on DJ Maphorisa.
Well, he had shared a clip of performing at the Galaxy947 Johannesburg and left a caption that many thought was directed at Thuli, who couldn’t have him prosecuted. You can check it out below.
