With rumors they are dating still flying around town and determined not to sustain the rumors, DJ Maphorisa and Thuli Phongolo have cut down on their theatrics. But fans are still not convinced they’re not dating.
Just recently, the pair had been photographed together during a gig, with Thuli Phongolo grinding the amapiano ace.
The clip of that moment went viral on Mzansi social media, with many fans claiming they’re an item and shouting, “new couple alert!”
Thuli Phongolo had laughed off this claim, though, insisting she’s single and not in a relationship with the Scorpion King. Phori had not publicly denied anything, though.
Recent events indicates they’re keen not to push the dating narrative. Phongolo had a live stream recently, and although DJ Maphorisa was by her side, the duo avoided anything ambitious that would have amplified the dating rumors. No kisses or hugs or grinding each other.
Also, although they performed together at the Rooftop Lounge, the performance was without any drama that would have given them away as dating or in a relationship.
Fans would not believe they’re not dating, however.
Anyway, Thuli Phongolo is having a wonderful run as a DJ, having recently announced she received R18k in tips during a performance.
