DJ Maphorisa To Release An Album

DJ Maphorisa prepares to drop a big announcement and release a new album!

Award-winning DJ and music producer, DJ Maphorisa prepares to set the street on fire with a new album release. The highly-anticipated album is promised to be officially released on the 31st of January, Friday, 2020. The DJ also remarked that he will be making a massive announcement on the day of his album’s official release.

DJ Maphorisa definitely kick-started 2020 on a bright note as he was amongst the first set of artists to release a hit song and also reward himself by purchasing an exotic car. Dj Maphorisa released Phoyisa within the first week of the year 2020 and the track which features Cassper Nyovest & Kabza De Small instantly became a hit.

Earlier this year, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small showed off their hot new rides in a bid to enter into a car drifting competition with other top music artists including Prince Kaybee, King Monada and Major Leaue DJz.

DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small together made several hits in 2019 and boosted the outlook of the emerging Amapiano sound which is fast becoming one of the biggest sound in the country and gradually penetrating the international scenes.

The two producers showed off their matching new cars as they rewarded themselves for their hard work. DJ Maphorisa also shared a video of himself drifting his newly purchased BMW M4.

Last Saturday, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small held a show at Bulawayo’s BAC Leisure. However, several issues had come up, ranging from a cut in power supply to the artists trying to prevent their fans from mobbing them.

DJ Maphorisa has hit songs to his credit, including Nana Thula, Asambeni, Iwalk Ye Phara, and Midnight Starring. The forthcoming album title has not been announced but it would most likely be another Amapiano project as that is the direction the artist is moving towards at this moment in his life. The DJ also played a major role in promoting the Gqom movement but has stopped making Gqom, according to him, some fans feel he shouldn’t be doing Gqom because he is not from Durban and the sound is a Durban sound, hence the reason he has chosen to switch to making Amapiano music.
