South African disc jokey and entrepreneur DJ Sbu has reacted to claims that he is not the owner of the energy drink brand MoFaya.
The brand is significant in South African business because it is the first black-owned energy drink in the country. So some people refuse to believe that the brand belongs to DJ Sbu.
The controversy over the ownership of the brand has been around for a while but gained resonance after it was revealed that MoFaya is the official sponsor of Miss South Africa 2023.
In a post on his official Instagram page, the songster made it clear that he couldn’t care less about the opinions being peddled about the ownership of the brand. “I’d like to confirm and say you are correct. It definitely isn’t mine because Mofaya is yours,” he commented. You can check out the video below.
DJ Sbu fancies himself as a hustler and despite his successes, he continues to see himself as one. Recently, a clip of him marketing MoFaya in a plane popped online, leading to questions on what exactly he means when he speaks about being a hustler. Some tweeps believe that was beyond him and in poor taste.
But is it?
