DJ Sumbody To Be Remembered 1 Year Later With ‘Cape 2 Samba Festival’

The late DJ Sumbody is set to be honoured one year after his death with Ayepyep Lifestyle Cape Town’s ‘Cape 2 Samba Festival.’

Last year, Mzansi lost an icon in the music industry. DJ Sumbody is reportedly set to be remembered in Cape Town following the anniversary of his passing. His Ayepyep Lifestyle Cape Town will host the Cape 2 Samba event to honour his legacy.

His brother, Koketso Sefoka, announced that the Brazilian-themed event will also kick off the festive season. His family will also pay tribute to him, and his Ayepyep Lifestyle Cape Town will officially reopen after a brief closure as a result of his death.

The famous D, named Oupa Sefoka, was shot and killed on 20 November 2022. His brother, Koketso Sefoka, revealed that the forthcoming event will represent Sumbody’s personality.

He said, “The Cape 2 Samba Festival is a very special kick-off of the country’s party season, we invite everyone to celebrate this occasion with us.”

Ayepyep Lifestyle’s media specialist, Thabo Mboweni, told Briefly News that the event will be a “three-day festival and will kick-start on Friday, 24 November and end on Sunday, 26 November. It will be an unforgettable experience.”

It will also feature performances by Venom, Junior De Rocka, Major Steez, Benny Maverick, and more.
