Afrotainment boss DJ Tira has opened up about his relationship with Emtee, revealing that he once booked the rapper for a music video shoot, but he never showed up and never spoke about it since then.
According to the “Ikhenani” crooner, he booked Emtee for the music video shoot for a song he did with his associate Duncan. But Emtee simply disappeared, and the music video never came out as a result. And yes, he’s disappointed in Emtee. He, however, wished him well.
DJ Tira was responding to a tweet in which his compatriot and younger colleague DJ Maphorisa had asked for help in reaching Emtee. Apparently, he wanted to work with the songster but has been unable to reach him. You can check out the tweet below.
At the time of writing, Emtee had not replied to DJ Maphorisa, nor had he said anything about DJ Tira’s claims.
All these bring to mind an earlier statement made by the recently slain rapper AKA, whom Emtee actually looked up to and had said so openly. AKA had once noted it might not be easy to pull off an easy collaboration if the two of them should pop into the studio.
