Afrotainment boss DJ Tira has said he smelled level 1 in South Africa. The country is currently on level 2 of restrictions following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
The restriction spawned by the lockdown has affected many industries. The entertainment industry appears to be among the worst hit. With many artistes unable to hold live shows and having no other source of income, many of them stormed the N3 Highway in protests.
It was said DJ Tira was among the protesters but that he vanished when the police arrived. Anyway, the songster is optimistic the restrictions will be relaxed even further – into level 1 – which allows for more freedom, movement.
DJ Tira’s optimism follows a series of tweets concerning the lockdown. In one such tweet, he had addressed the president of South Africa, Mr Cyril Ramaphosa, stating artistes were starving, and that the lockdown needed to be relaxed.
