The saying that no one will celebrate you if you don’t celebrate yourself found robust expression recently when “Uzobuya” songstress DJ Zinhle celebrated her birthday today.
The mother of one has just turned 37. In an Instagram post a couple of hours ago, she had penned herself a splendid birthday note. It was DJ Zinhle for herself, but herself.
Apparently the songstress is proud of the person she has become and has no qualms celebrating herself. In her note, she thanked God for all the blessings and love she gets from herself. She also thanked her fans for the love they continue to show her.
For her birthday, the songstress has one burning dream – or wish – which is that blacks continue to support local, black-owned businesses.
In her desire that black support local businesses, she is not alone. Musos like Cassper Nyovest and Riky Rick have expressed similar sentiments.
By the way, DJ Zinhle has had a fine year in spite of the coronavirus pandemic. She’s released some splendid as well as made so daring moves in the corporate world.
