There is no end in sight yet in the war between Canadian rapper Drake and his American counterpart Kendrick Lamar. Disses are flying like water, scandalous allegations following them.
What was initially thought to be another beef between some top figures in the industry, and expected to disappear almost as soon as it started has become a big fight of sorts, garnering global attention.
The ripples have been such that even in South Africa, a local musician had advised other musicians to start beefing to reignite the hip hop culture back home. But that’s by the way.
At the moment, the beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake has taken such a turn that things are looking a bit scandalous, with the American claiming that Drake abuses young boys.
Of course, this bears serious implications if actually true, But for now, it is just an allegation, with nothing to back it up with.
Even at that, the feud isn’t river yet. With the recent shooting in the vicinity of Drake’s home and the vandalisation of an OVO store, it appears like the battle between them will drag on for a while, with diss tracks as part of the arrows of warfare.
