The losses continue for Canadian rapper Drake. $800k might seem like a lot, but if you’re on the wealthy side of life, it might not mean much – and really, that’s the case with the Certified Lover Boy of Canadian music.
If you’re a keen Drake fan, then you probably already know that the songster is an avid punter. And he throws in cool hard cash for an athlete or a team he believes in. and yes, he’s bags and lost bags betting so far in his life.
However, all focus appears to be on his latest loss right now. The Toronto rapper had made a massive bet of over CAD 800k for Barcelona to emerge victorious in their match against Real Madrid. However. As had happened previously, his prediction didn’t come to pass. So the money is gone.
But why would the songster choose Barcelona? The Camp Nou side had used a jersey with an owl (Drake’s insignia) to honour the Canadian’s 50 million reproductions on Spotify, a streaming platform with which the team recently partnered.
That partnership has seen the Camp Nou Stadium renamed to Spotify Camp Nou Stadium.
Well, for Drake, as the saying goes, whatever people think, nothing spoil.
