Mzansi is proud as Duma Ndlovu lends a hand to Carlo Radebe amid his financial words.
Carlo Radebe, also known as Duke Ngcobo on ‘Backstage’ is showing his gratitude for all the support he has gotten from fans. Mzansi found out about his financial woes after the actor’s friend, Mauritz Neethling, appealed to fans for support him.
Neethling revealed that Radebe lost his livelihood and was evicted from his former residence. He shared that the actor now stays on a remote smallholding outside Johannesburg.
“Relying on a government grant of only R350 pm [per month] you can understand that this no way to afford him the means to get himself out there and back on casting agents radar and to let him send video audition clips let alone to feed himself or even take phone calls or have data to send or receive emails.”
“I ask (with his permission) that you find it in your heart to help in whatever way or form you can to help this talented man regain some dignity and free him from this dark tomb he finds himself in…”
Producer Duma Ndlovu’s Academy announced that they needed help finding the actor online, writing,
“We are currently looking for Mr Carlo Radebe. Should you have any information on how to get a hold of him kindly contact us urgently!”
In a post made on Facebook recently, the academy revealed that they had found him.
“We are happy to report that we found him last night. Bless your hearts. Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu. I am because we are. Motho ke motho ka batho ba bangwe,” they wrote.
