Elaine Joins Columbia Records, Premieres Music Video For “Risky” | Watch

It is a “Risky” moment for South African singer Elaine but one she is glad to embrace. She’s just clinched a new recording deal with Columbia Records as well as released the music video for her song “Risky.”

The song was part of her “Elements” EP, which has since been certified platinum. She had released that body of work while still in college and got the Rainbow Nation vibing with her.

With her signing to Columbia Records, one of the biggest global recording brands, she joins the likes of John Legend, Beyoncé, Pharell Williams, Celine Dion, and Adele, who all have recording contracts with the brand.

For one who is pretty new on the music scene in South Africa and whose “Elements” EP was essentially a solo effort, Elaine has made remarkable leaps musically. And it is a pleasure watching her winning streak.

The music video for her single “Risky” is a triumph of aesthetics and visualization of love, as should be apparent presently.
