The Daily Show was nominated in the Variety Talk Series category alongside shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live, Last Week Tonight, and Colbert Late Show.

Trevor Noah is South African but currently resides in the United States, where he hosts his show. The news of his Emmy nomination provoked great excitement in his home country of South Africa.
