Emtee Is Suing Ambitiouz Entertainment Over Royalties & Contract

Mzansi rapper, Emtee Is Suing Ambitiouz Entertainment Over Royalties & Contract

Emtee is suing former label, Ambitiouz Entertainment over royalties, contract and his awards.

If you thought Emtee would only spend his time fighting his battles on social media, then you have no idea how far he’s willing to go. According to new reports, the Mzansi rapper has taken Ambitiouz Entertainment to the Pretoria High Court over royalties for his albums dating back to 2015’s Avery, his contract and his awards.

The “Johustleburg” rapper has been involved in a major Twar with the label for a while now. He’s been calling them out for withholding his awards since he left the label, however, the label has only made a joke out of him.

Sunday World reports that Emtee wants AE and its boss, Kgosithebe Mahumapelo to pay him all that’s due to him. He confirmed the case in a statement saying

Ubani okutshele lento? (Who told you this info?) Yes there is a court case going on, but please speak to my lawyers. They will be able to tell you everything relating to it.”

His lawyer, Dumisani Motsamai of Morolong Inc. had this to say,

We confirm that we act for Mthembeni Ndevu professionally known as ‘Emtee’. We confirm further that there are ongoing high court proceedings involving him and his former record label Ambitiouz Entertainment, in which we are applicants.”
