The voting for the South Africa Hip Hop Awards (SAHHA) is on, and one rapper who appears to be doing well is Emtee.
The “LOGAN” rapper is nominated in three categories: the Best Album of the Year, Artist of the Decade Award and the Best Male of the Year.
Commenting on the support he has been receiving from his fans amid the voting, the songster noted in a tweet that he had never doubted the love from his fans. He also thanked them for their support.
For the Best Male award, Emtee will be fighting for the crown with the likes of Blxckie, Big Zulu, Costa Titch, and 25k. It is not exactly an easy list to be on, as the artistes on the list are just as accomplished, with equally strong fan bases.
Interestingly, fans will not be the ones to pick the winners of the awards. According to award organizers, contributions by fans will only make 40 percent of the votes. The judges will decide on the rest.
Emtee’s “LOGAN” album, for which he got a SAHHA nomination, was well received on release, popping at the top of the Apple Music South Africa’s albums chart.
It remains to be seen if he’ll clinch the SAHHA.
