The good times are certainly here for South African rapper Emtee and his record label which is named for him. In this era where almost every musician now owns a record label, it is a big deal when such labels go into partnerships with established brands in the industry.
Well, that’s what’s just happened at Emtee Records. The record label has just gone into a partnership with Virgin Music SA that will see the brand distribute music from the record label.
In a post on the official record label page which Emtee uses as his personal account these days, the news of the partnership was announced. So heavy is Emtee’s faith in this partnership that he seemingly indicated it was an operation to save Outh African hip hop. You can check out the post below.
The details of the partnership weren’t made public. However, the fact that it was signed indicates that both parties are pretty cool with it. How long it runs and what it will achieve in that period is left to time. At any rate, it was a deal both parties wanted -and sealed.
