Described by its organisers as “A timeless festival that combines good friends, good vibes, good music, and fun games with Amstel Beer,” Friends of Amstel was a big hit when it first appeared on the scene. And then it disappeared.
Well, the good news is that the festival has made a return. Expectedly, there is great excitement around the announcement of the return of friends of Amstel. Well, who wouldn’t be excited when another opportunity to make friends and have a good time has just presented itself?
The lineup for this year’s event includes some notable names in South African music, from K.O. down to Uncle Waffles, Focalistic, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small (the Scorpion Kings) – and we are still counting.
It is not an all-comers affair though, as those who want to be a part of it will have to, first of all, visit the Friends of Amstel website at www.friendsofamstel.co.za, The next step is to listen to the “Friends of Amstel” EP, then enter personal details to confirm entry.
