Family of Ukhozi FM radio host and Crown Gospel Music Awards founder, Zanele Mbokazi has announced her lung cancer diagnosis following speculations about her health.
The entire country is sending prayers and love to UKhozi FM radio host, Crown Gospel Music Awards founder and executive producer, Zanele Mbokazi, following the announcement that she was diagnosed with lung cancer.
The news was shared by Zanele’s husband, Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule, and Ukhozi FM’s business manager, Sbongi Ngcobo, on the breakfast show, Vuka Mzansi on Wednesday. They did it to address the speculations about her health after she was rushed to the hospital due to breathing problems.
Nkambule revealed that Zanele fell ill two weeks ago. He said she was admitted to hospital on Monday 29 April, after her condition worsened. She underwent a small operation last Friday after experiencing shortness of breath.
Nkambule said, “During the operation, doctors discovered that Zanele has lung cancer, but through it all, we trust God.”
The family asked for privacy as they deal with the situation.
“We are all still in shock – please continue praying for Zanele and afford the family privacy to deal with this difficult situation”.
Zanele also shared a post thanking everyone for their prayers and love.
