A fan who thinks South African boy band Major League has stated that their Amapiano Balcony Mix is the real thing and has urged the group to take over the Lockdown House Party.
The Lockdown House Party is an initiative of DJ Shimza and his friends to keep South African entertained and in their homes in the time of coronavirus amid the lockdown. The Party was discontinued briefly when lockdown was relaxed in South Africa. When South Africa went on lockdown a second time following the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, the Party was restored.
In contrast, Amapiano Balcony Mix was not inspired by the coronavirus pandemic; it was merely an attempt by the brothers Bandile and Banele to bring South Africans splendid amapiano numbers every Friday.
The fan’s call for Major League to take over Lockdown House Party was made on Twitter. Andile Madlala thinks the Mix by the brother duo trumps what the Party has been offering via Channel O. while thanking the fan for his suggestion, major league made it clear that they’re in different names from the Party.
