December is often seen as the month of revellers, where everyone seemingly forgets their troubles momentarily and has a good time in anticipation of a new and better year. So, Detty December.
This year, South African music Musa Keys had something planned – a “Detty December” concert that would have seen him entertain many of his fans with his music, giving everyone a good time.
The show was originally scheduled for Wednesday, 27th of December 2023 at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. As a result of technical issues, though, it had to be cancelled.
Musa Keys pointed out that his team had explored options but none of them would allow them to give fans the world-class show that they deserve. As a result, they had to take the difficult decision of cancelling.
The songster apologised to fans while also informing those that already bought tickets for the show that they would have a refund.
The reactions so far indicate that some fans aren’t taking the cancellation calmly. Some have expressed disappointment, pointing out how they have planned for that day only to have their hopes quashed.
Well, as the saying goes, sometimes events do not go the way that musicians plan them. Life.
