It may have been over a year since AKA was assassinated, but he is still very much alive in the hearts of those who loved him, most notably his father Tony, who visited his grave recently.
It wasn’t exactly his first visit to the grave, but each visit carries great symbolism, including showing what was in his mind during the period.
On his latest visit to AKA’s grave at Westpark Cemetery in Johannesburg, Tony Forbes took pictures and shared one of them on his official Instagram page, from which blogs downloaded and shared on other platforms.
In the caption to his post, Tony quoted a poem by Elizabeth Frye amplifying the faith in AKA’s legacy as eternal. He would rather not be wept over because, although six feet under, he still considers himself alive thanks to the legacy he left behind.

AKA was assassinated with a point-blank shot to the head on February 10 last year, sending shockwaves throughout the Rainbow Nation. Five men are currently standing trial for his murder. So long, Kiernan!
