Gqom singer Mshoza might be dead, but she is still very much alive in the hearts of those she associated with previously, including media personality Pearl Thusi.
This much was obvious recently when the Queen Sono actress took to her official Instagram page to share throwback snaps of them together. In one of the pictures, the two of them could be seen in a sitting position, with Pearl Thusi leaning in. They were both smiling.
In the caption to the post, Pearl Thusi called her “baby girl,” noting that he thinks of her very often. He bid her rest in peace, too. You can check out her post below.
Until her death, Mshoza was one of the noted voices in South Africa’s gqom space. She suffered from diabetes and had other issues as well, She, unfortunately, didn’t live long to continue with her music career.
But then, as evident from Pearl Thusi’s post, she might be dead, but her legacy is still very much alive. And those who know of her impact on the industry will continue to remember her for a long time to come. Too bad gqom lost a fine voice before it had completely flowered. So long, Mshoza!
