Yesterday, Wednesday, November 8, South African rapper Nasty C made his debut at the S.O.B’s live in the United States. It was a historic moment and a career win for the rapper because besides it being his first at the venue, he followed right in the steps of iconic musician Hugh Masekela.
The symbolism of that moment wasn’t lost on the rapper’s followers – the Ivyson Army. They poured into social media platforms to celebrate that milestone in his career.
Nasty C himself was cool with performing for free. Yup. Of course, he usually charges for his shows but at home and internationally. But in this instance, it was a free show, and he did a wonderful job still. At least that has been the verdict so far from his fans at home and abroad. Nasty C has come a long way as a rapper, with many wins so far. Of course, it wasn’t all glitter and laughter at the outset.
