Fans Excited As AKA Makes His TV Channel Subscription-Free

In a move that surprised many, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, the South African rapper who goes by the stage name of AKA, has made his AKA TV channel subscription free.

The change might have been provoked by complaints from fans who had made it clear they cannot afford the subscription fee. The TV had launched amid the pandemic, when many were out of jobs and literally struggling to survive.

Well, the channel is free now. Understandably, fans are very happy with the new no-subscription fee policy and have been singing AKA’s praises all over social media. The praise words heaped on the “Energy” rapper’s head are many and might leave one drunken.

Before the cancelation was made public, fans have had to R49 as subscription fee – enough for a week’s grocery shopping, according to some fans.

By the way, AKA recently moved up the mountains to shoot the music video of his latst single “Energy.” He was in the company of other musos, including Gemini Major. During that outing, he had thrilled fans by rapping without auto-tune.
