Fans Remember Musical Legends, Hugh Masekela And Oliver Mtukudzi

Music fans across the country are remembering the great Hugh Masekela and Oliver Mtukudzi, both of whom died on January 23, different years. For Hugh Masekela, it was two years ago while Oliver Mtukudzi passed last year.

While alive, both men owned the stages and had a commanding presence. Their impact, reach and appeal too was global and that’s not an easy things for fans to forget.

Fand across social media held the remembrance and kept their names alive on their platforms in a move that caused both men, both respected, to trend for hours.

A fan tweeted:

Tribute to Hugh Masekela. Africa’s pioneer Jazz Musician. May he continue Resting with the Angels.

This rallied a number of fans who retweeted and commented to pay their respect as well.

Another fans tweeted one of his quotes with a designed image of Hugh Masekela with wings and it was a beautiful thing to read and see. The tweet read:

Tweets about the legendary Oliver Mtukudzi were right there too as fans rallied round to celebrate two men that made music a memorable thing for them.
