Fraud Case: Dr Tumi & Wife Released On Bail

Mzansi medical doctor and gospel artiste Dr Tumi has been released on bail after reportedly defrauding the lottery board.

Tumisang Victor Makweya, who goes by the name of Dr Tumi, and his wife Sara Makweya were released yesterday Tuesday 6 April 2021.

On the fraud case against husband and wife, Hawks’s spokesperson Captain Ndivhuwo Mulamu states that the couple had altered grant application documents to the National Lotteries Board for the approval of funds sometime in 2018.

The altering of documents was said to have resulted in R1.5 million being transferred to a private account. Dr Tumi and his had reportedly benefitted from the fund in the sum of R760k

Accused alongside the couple are Christopher Tshivule and Thomas Ndadza. Both have been released on R5k bail each.

While the Hawks are busy accusing Dr Tumi and wife of fraud, the fans of the duo have been equally busy – defending them against the law. Most of Dr Tumi’s fans insist their man is innocent of the crime of which he was accused.

By the way, just recently, Dr Tumi was mugged in the street and his iPhone stolen.
